COFAQ and the transition to omnichannel commerce with SQLI
Context and possibilities
The COFAQ Group, the world's largest DIY purchasing center for professionals, wants to put digital at the center of its objectives. SQLI assisted the Group's brand management and IT department in launching e-commerce projects for its three key brands: Master Pro, Securom, and Brico Pro.
The support of SQLI
SQLI stepped in during a strategic framing mission in 2017 to assist COFAQ in developing a worldwide strategy for its e-commerce transformation. Several locations, in particular, were investigated.
- The omnichannel customer experience
- Digital marketing
- E-commerce technology
In addition, SQLI and COFAQ collaborated to develop the e-commerce business model in the COFAQ cooperative setting, as well as to manage change among members.
COFAQ enlisted SQLI once more in 2019 to kick off the Master Pro and Brico Pro e-commerce website projects as part of the framework.
The consulting strategy was founded on a vision of B2B and B2C customer experiences realized through two prototypes created during two sprint cycles. The SQLI experts used Design Thinking approaches, which allowed decision-makers to put themselves in the shoes of customers by experiencing a real buying experience, owing to the customer-centric approach.
A panel of target customers then tested and validated the prototypes.
The support has resulted in :
- A comprehensive understanding of the e-commerce program's scope
- Organization of the e-commerce program's management
- The articulation of functional and technological requirements
- Resource requirements are estimated.
- The possibilities for solutions
