We went looking for 10 new Stars. We got 14.

In June we published the news that we would shortly would be needing 10 new employees for SQLI Nordics. Because as you know, if you have fun at work, success will follow naturally. That makes it possible to hire even more new colleagues - who helps us having even more fun at work. We believe that it's what they call a real "positive cycle".

So, imagine the feeling of coming back to work after the vacations to realize that we soon will have 14 (!) new colleagues since that day in June. Either we are simply really bad at counting, or we could (with pleasure and humility) ascertain that we, as an employer, attract talent that simply is too good to say no to. Our 14 new Stars have different roles all over the company, from back- and frontend developers to a new HR Manager.

One of our new employees is our new Head of UX & Design Joel Belsco. Joel has a really impressive track record from work within Graphic Design and User Experience, and prior to his work here at SQLI has been working as a Creative Director or Art Director at agencies such as McCann, DigitasLBI, Publicis Sapient and Fluid. Among his previous clients are Oakley, The North Face, Peak Performance, Adidas, Björn Borg and Samsøe & Samsøe.

We asked Joel why he chose SQLI, and what it feels like to be here:

- When SQLI got in touch with me I was really impressed by their ambitions. My impressions were that of a really nice corporate culture mixed with challenging Unified Commerce projects. Some of which are entirely new and that we can hopefully tell you more about really soon.

Peter Larsson, new backend developer at SQLI Nordics, agrees:

- When I have previously heard about SQLI, it has always been about exciting projects and clients or the culture. It really feels exciting to be onboard and being part of creating world class e-commerce solutions.

So, are we done hiring new talent now? Of course not. If we were only to receive 10 new applications that are as good as the one we've already hired we would probably have to hire them as well. Curious? Read more on our recruitment site.

The rest of us at SQLI would like to welcome Joel, Peter and all of the other new Stars on board. We've been eagerly waiting for you! ❤️
