A collaborative tool for corporate communications

context

Corporate communications is at the heart of group Strategy for L’Oréal, the world’s leading cosmetics brand. The activity is managed by almost 500 L’Oréal employees across the globe.

However due to the need to optimize the distribution of information and adapt it to new uses, L’Oréal decided to provide its employees with a new internal platform.

The idea was to facilitate the sharing of guidelines and other employee-related resources.

L’Oréal chose SQLI to help them with their new information-sharing hub – an internal platform that was redesigned, optimising internal processes for corporate communications.

The solution is based on e-commerce websites, enabling people to fill their shopping cart with data they are interested in. The platform lets people access content quickly, bookmark it, download items and highlight how urgent it is to process information.

SQLI was chosen by L’Oréal because of their ability to put together 360° projects – involving expertise in consulting and development together with design skills.

The development for the project was based on the open source CMS Umbraco, hosted in an Azure environment in SaaS mode. This user-friendly tool offers centralised data and a clear view of the different communications elements available
