At the beginning of 2016, the figures confirm it: contactless bank card transactions are taking off. Proof of this is that GIE Cartes Bancaires (CB bank card group) recorded more than 1 million contactless payments in December 2015.
Nevertheless, one of the biggest challenges for banks is to reassure and convince their customers to adopt this payment method.
Banque Populaire therefore wanted to promote this payment method - now integrated into bank cards - to remove the barriers to adopting it and encourage use of this new payment 'trend' by its customers.
