Aushopping.com: the new digital shopping centre from the Auchan group

A website combining services and e-commerce developed by SQLI

Immochan opens its Aushopping.com website, which is a pioneering example of a new genre: an online shopping centre which brings together information about the shops in the shopping centre and their products. By connecting to their centre, Internet users can now prepare or make their purchases. With this e-shopping centre developed by SQLI, Immochan offers a new shopping experience.

A digital service in the form of an 'e-shopping center'

Immochan, the Auchan group's property subsidiary, which looks after nearly 300 shopping centres in twelve countries, wants to address its customers' uses by offering them a new digital service: an e-shopping centre where they can find all the products they would in their physical shopping centre, as well as all the information which is useful for organising their purchases.Aushopping.com has a three-fold objective

  • To increase visits to Auchan shopping centres
  • To give brands a new showcase by enabling them to highlight their brand, their promotions and their product catalogue
  • To obtain better knowledge about customers through the tracking that the website makes possible

SQLI was chosen by Immochan to develop this unique digital shopping centre in France, thanks to its proven hybris expertise demonstrated over the course of many large-scale projects and its strong production capacity.

A new shopping expérience

The Aushopping platform is based on the hybris solution and has been fully designed and developed by SQLI. It is a digital extension of the shopping centre which brings together the information needed: the services, events, commercial promotions, and also the product catalogues for all the shops so that you can prepare your shopping as well as possible.

With the search engine, customers can pre-select products from the different brands in their shopping centre, compare them, memorise them, and, if they want to, order them and come and collect them for free in the store or at a collection point in the shopping centre. After a year of development, a prototype saw the light of day in Angoulême last April, and since then 7 other centres have been opened.

The platform will be extended to the 60 other French sites in 2016. On Aushopping.com, customers will then be able to access all the shops in shopping centres which are part of the French Aushopping network.

« We had high hopes for Aushopping.com. We wanted to be the first in our sector to create an e-shopping centre. On the website, customers will have access to the brands' promotions, events, and products. Their first reactions have been very positive. As our customers are a key concern for us, we intend to develop the website on the basis of their future requests. Eventually, we would like to open the website to our 300 shopping centres internationally, with the assistance of our partner SQLI. Indeed, SQLI demonstrated a high degree of adaptability and responsiveness to successfully complete the project. Thanks to their involvement and their expertise, we have made this project a success and are the first to offer a different shopping experience,» says Hervé Vanden Abeele, Manager of the IMMOCHAN Aushopping e-shopping centre.
