CDLX wins Gold at German Brand Award 2021
“Light for generations”: The Berlin design agency CDLX, SQLI's German Creative-Hub, was awarded wins over the jurors at the German Brand Awards with its catalog project for the client Selux AG and receives a coveted gold award in the category “Excellence in Brand Strategy and Creation: Print”.
The prize recognizes the courageous concept of staging the product in the role of supporting actor and, instead of using marketing platitudes, developing a philosophical brand storytelling, which touches on one of the major issues of our era: the relationship between people and nature.
“The outdoor lighting manufacturer is expressing the most significant reorientation in the company's 80 year history with the ‘Selux Book’. The absence of light represents a new beginning: The book in the form of a black monolith in A4 format, weighing nearly 2kg, externally embodies the absence of light. Inside it unveils everything that Selux represents on 450 pages. A fascinating view of the world in every respect from the brand perspective of Selux – outstanding photography and a superb layout.”
