SQLI Nordics to build next-generation e-commerce platform for Akademibokhandeln and Bokus

SQLI Nordics, a leading digital agency in the Nordics, is partnering with Sweden's bookstore giants, Bokus and Akademibokhandeln, to develop a new e-commerce platform that will strengthen the brand’s digital presence online and in-store.

Cutting-edge solutions for enhanced e-commerce performance

The new solution is based on a composable framework, allowing components to interact independently through APIs, making it easier to maintain, update and enhance to meet changing demands and requirements.

Bokus group, who own the two bookstores, needed a solution to handle its extensive product catalogue, which comprises over 20 million SKUs. The new platform, which will be powered by Sitecore Ordercloud and Bizzkit PIM, will simplify product management, streamline order processing and improve the overall customer experience.

The aim is to boost product visibility for users through improved UX design, driving higher customer engagement and sales. Furthermore, the Group also wanted to improve Bokus’ and Akademibokhandeln’s current SEO rankings, recognizing the importance of this in a fiercely competitive market.

Elevating user experience and sales conversion

"This project represents a milestone for both the Bokus group and ourselves. When the Group’s platform was first-built, it was groundbreaking.  Now we look forward to creating an even better digital platform for Akademibokhandeln and Bokus," said Jenny Munther, CEO of SQLI Nordics.

"We are proud to be able to contribute to the continued success of the Bokus group by delivering an e-commerce solution that not only meets today’s needs but also future challenges."

"Collaborating with SQLI Nordics gives us access to expertise in the latest digital technology. Our new platform will enhance our ability to offer a seamless and customizable customer experience across our various channels, whether online or as digital tools in our stores," said Kent Karlsson, Chief Information Officer at the Bokus group.

In today's world, where digital transformation is key to success for many major retailers, this new project further solidifies SQLI Nordics' role as a significant player in the Nordic e-commerce scene.
