WAX Interactive supports the renovation of the new BCV website
Banque Cantonale Vaudoise has chosen WAX Interactive to support it in the renovation of its website. The crux of the BCV project: customer experience. The Swiss bank wanted its new web platform to offer state-of-art user browsing and pathways. The aim for the BCV was to strengthen the relationship between its customers and advisers through a multichannel website reflecting the Bank's values

Founded in 1845, Banque Cantonale Vaudoise is profoundly established in Switzerland. With 170 years' experience, it is a key player in the local economic fabric, sustainably committed to private and business customers. BCV's conviction: a trusting customer relationship is built up over time, by providing appropriate solutions and services for the development of life projects.
The creation of an authentic online local bank
Following a call for tenders, the BCV chose WAX Interactive to support it in the renovation of its digital platform. The bank had several issues and objectives: breaking away from the previous website by creating a web showcase based on modern technology and embodying its DNA as a local player. But above all, the BCV wanted to review the customer experience through modern design and ergonomics in order to reflect its values. These are:
- proximity, by reasserting its local imprint and foothold
- professionalism, by offering high quality services to its customers
- performance, by promoting easy browsing and dialogue
- responsibility, by underscoring its role in the regional economy.
Thomas Gendulphe, Manager of the BVC's information websites, adds: "WAX Interactive stood out from competitors firstly through the quality and professionalism of the bid filed in response to the call for tender which showed good understanding of BCV's needs and issues, but also geographic proximity and the fact that the project was mainly steered through in Switzerland, in the canton of Vaud”.
Delivery of a website consisting of more than 1,000 pages, in record time
The WAX Interactive teams worked in an iterative mode with the BCV to create a reference website in terms of user experience. The aim was to facilitate access and understanding of the bank's services while offering a fluid and integrated experience. User pathways were scripted to create browsing based on different typologies of targets then according to their needs. Each customer is therefore accompanied in the different phases of their life; and a customised solution is proposed for each question or issue raised. The website includes a broad range of services, like the pension or mortgage calculator, geolocation or an area dedicated to news, as well as a customer portal.
The WAX Interactive teams worked closely with the BCV's creative teams on the visual identity of the website. It was decided to reflect BCV's local presence by original illustrations of the Vaud territory and the projects of its population.
Developed using ezPublish technology, the new BCV site is obviously responsive. A high performance customer experience needs to be multimedia (desktop, mobile, tablet) to be consistent and balanced. The WAX Interactive teams in Lausanne also advised and worked on the optimisation of content to perfect SEO of the website with the aim of generating maximum traffic and consolidating its online presence.
