A completely redesigned and simplified B2B & B2C user experience

Faber France chose WAX Interactive Lille to assist it with the overhaul of its website. On the one hand the northern SME wanted to make a genuine e-shop available to its business customers and individuals, and on the other hand significantly improve internal processes by interconnecting the new website with its ERP. The first results from the website, launched in June 2015, are very promising with an average basket increase of 50%.

Faber France - no.1 in France for flags, banners and beach flags

Faber France, a specialist in manufacturing advertising banners and more broadly all types of flags and advertising furniture (banner ads, banners, parasols, stands, tents, chairs) had a turnover of €14 million in 2014. Innovation and the constant development of its products have made Faber France (both manufacturer and distributor) the leader when it comes to display materials and advertising/corporate flags in the French market.

A challenge: building a b2b & b2c e-shop

In May 2014, Faber France launched a tool modernisation project and wanted to completely overhaul its website to make it a genuine responsive e-commerce platform. The aim was to highlight the products, facilitate understanding of them, automate processes and interface the new system with its ERP so that standard products can be ordered online.

Faber France chose WAX Interactive to assist it with the whole project and build a tool which addresses both individual customers and also business customers in an intuitive way. With this new website, Faber France wants to capitalise on current incoming requests to amplify this business dynamic with a more precise qualification of leads.

As Marine Le Bigot, Head of Web development at Faber France, explains: "From the very first meeting, WAX Interactive showed us mock-ups of the home page and we immediately identified with their proposals. The willingness and investment of the WAX teams made it possible to make swift progress with the project to effectively address all of our issues."

An average basket increase of 50%

The WAX Interactive experts built a platform which is very easy to manage so that the website can be run and regularly updated by the Faber France teams. In addition, thorough work was done to adapt Faber France's new graphic charter to web standards.

The WAX and Faber France teams worked together on improving all the catalogue and product data as well as the structuring of the product tree and creating content to boost the organic SEO and facilitate the inter-connection with the Divalto ERP.The care taken with the ergonomics has made it possible to perfect the user experience.

Customers can now request quotes quickly in a few steps, and to gain even more time, forms are pre-completed using SIRET (French company registration) numbers. Finally, the development of an extranet for taking orders of stock products for major accounts is in the process of being finalised.

The website was launched on 16 June 2015 and has already produced some quantifiable results: the average basket has increased by 50% and the bounce rate has gone down by 10%. Customers, employees and sales staff are all very satisfied with the time saved, how simple the new processes are, and how easy it is to find information.
