If you are a passionate System Engineer (Application support) with a solid technical background, a first experience as a system engineer in a support team, with a  positive energy, a unique voice, and a can-do spirit we are looking for you to join our team! You will be part of the practice Digital Continuity, this team is responsible for all customer calls (incidents, problems) with the goal of continuously improving the performance of the aftercare projects.


  • Intermediate level experience as an applications specialist, systems support technologist within a support team (2nd level support experience preferred)
  • Positive energy, together with logical problem analysis using clear thinking to solve discrepancies
  • When responding to customer inquiries, will research solutions and do case-specific troubleshooting
  • Rapid deployment of solutions or "workarounds"
  • Restore service or operation of the software solution which is a failure
  • Aim to continuously improve the performance of support services
  • Passionate (Application Support Specialist) System Technologist
  • Modern equipped workplace with the possibility of mobile working (home office), with residence in the Dortmund or Berlin area
  • Collaborate with the development and infrastructure teams
  • Participate in application implementations from development through acceptance, to production
  • Application support - 1st level support, knowledge transfer with 2nd level support, coordination with 3rd level support.
  • Monitoring of solution functions in a production environment
  • Root cause analysis of functional errors or failure to meet functional expectations
  • Create, maintain and expand knowledge base for customers' application support documentation
  • Application maintenance on production systems, system patches, minor and major upgrades of applications
  • On-call, on-call support (optional, depending on the contract with the customer)


Infrastructure "on-premise", private cloud or public cloud (Azure, AWS). Applications PIM (SAP eCommerce, ContentServ, Informatica). Experience with ticketing tools such as Jira / Confluence / ServiceNow. Microsoft Office 365 tools



  • You have an affinity for and a good basic IT technical understanding
  • You can work independently and show commitment and initiative
  • You have extensive knowledge with Linux operating systems
  • Experience with Microsoft Office365 and databases (MSSQL, MySQL, Cassandra)
  • Experience with ticketing tools such as Jira / Confluence
  • Ideally, you have completed vocational training or have professional experience in the field of computer science, electrical engineering, communications technology or another technical profession
  • Initial experience as a system or application specialist/engineer in an IT support team, preferably in the areas of web, e-commerce or PIM/MDM/DAM applications
  • Excellent skills in troubleshooting, resolving and documenting incidents
  • Understanding of the need to support customers in a professional manner
  • Communication is your strength, as well as good verbal and written expression in German and ideally English
