A world leader in sports equipment, the Amer Sports group wanted to develop an efficient and flexible e-commerce solution, allowing them to both meet the specific requirements of each of its brands in their local market while benefiting from a shared technological platform.

Salomon, the group's first brand to develop direct sales, offers a website through which the general public can purchase all of its products and new services:

+ A chat service, continuously open on the site, allowing online shoppers to be guided in their choice by a product expert
+ Customer reviews on products
+ And even up-to-date news for athletes sponsored by the brand through a Twitter feed

The e-commerce website was a great success with users, with a traffic increase of 40% in France.

In parallel, the system will be rolled out for all Amer Sports brands - starting with Suunto - as well as for all countries where they wish to strengthen their presence.


The initial results are very promising, this new sales channel generated a turnover of 15% above projections... with an average shopping cart exceeding Salomon projections by 60%. The implemented solution meets all of our challenges for platform resource pooling and for managing the specifics of each brand through a system of toolkits and web services.
