In line with its first-half performance, SQLI can confirm the third-quarter improvement in its commercial results thanks to its continuing shift towards higher value-added solutions and the gradual resumption of integration demand. Third-quarter turnover thus rose 8.5% in purely organic terms to €39.7 million.

In the first nine months SQLI generated turnover of €126.0 million, an increase of 11.1%. After restating the contribution from Naga Conseil and Aston Education, which were integrated in 2009, the increase comes out at close to 9%, which is higher than the sector average, demonstrating how the Group offering is an increasingly close match to the expectations of the sector’s leading principals.

The effectiveness of this commercial positioning has been borne out by signing of several major contracts, notably with Spir Communication (SAP) and Alinea (e-commerce). The Group is also assisting Renault for the international deployment of an Adobe Lifecycle-based secure digital data management system at the carmaker’s Industrial Design Division.

At end-September, SQLI employed a workforce of 1,945, compared with 1,994 a year earlier, reflecting the strict policy deployed by the Group. The workforce figure includes all 35 staff at the Poitiers branch, where the previously announced manager buy-out is proceeding according to plan. This strategy, combined with economic recovery, propelled the activity rate to 81.5% in Q3 2010, compared with 80% at end-June 2010, which should lead to a consequential improvement in profitability, in line with the targets set.

SQLI will announce its annual turnover figures for 2010 on Tuesday, 15 February 2011 after close of trading.
