In 2010, SQLI demonstrated its ability to return to the path of sustained growth in its business activity. The recovery makes the Group can confirm the objective of a sequential improvement in its profitability in line with previously announced objectives.

In 2010, SQLI generated turnover of €170.3 million, up 10% over 12 months. The improvement in sales performance throughout the year, has been confirmed, both in the integration business and in higher value-added offerings (Consultancy, Solutions, Agency). For the first time, the figure includes full-year turnover from Naga Conseil and Aston Education, which were acquired during 2009. Like-for-like, annual performance came in at 8.4%.

Optimised workforce and higher activity rate

During the year, special attention was focused on optimising human resources to match customer demand as closely as possible. The total SQLI Group headcount was accordingly reduced over 12 months from 1,961 to 1,897, mainly by adjusting non-productive resources.

Combined with the new business momentum, this careful policy has made it possible to confirm the steady rise in the activity rate, which came out at 80% in 2010, compared with 78% in 2009, and hence of Group profitability.

Rationalised footprint

In 2010, SQLI implemented a transformation process designed to accelerate the development of its very high value-added activities at the same time as it stepped up its operational efficiency. The process resulted in the closure of the Strasbourg office, the spin-off of the SQLI branch in Poitiers which employed 28 staff at 31 December 2010 (sold to its legacy manager), the discontinuation of Group activity in Canada, and the merger of the Casablanca and Rabat offices on a single site.

In 2010, the two business activities in Poitiers and Canada generated combined turnover of €2.7 million.

SQLI will publish its results for FY 2010 on 30 March 2011, after close of trading.
