Acquisition of eclaps
SQLI Group is pleased to announce the acquisition of the business assets of French company Eclaps which specializes in end-to-end mobile solutions from their design to their marketing strategies. The operation is a strategic opportunity for the group to reinforce its expertise in a fast-growing market. .
Created in 2007, Eclaps is a Paris-based start-up that employs a team of 10 experts in consulting, marketing and mobile technologies, and notably in working alongside companies in defining and implementing their mobile communications strategies and the development of m-Commerce applications. Today, M6, Wall Street Institute, Ticketac, France Loisirs, Chapitre.com and Smartbox are just some of the names that make up its client base.
A recognized specialist in mobile applications, SQLI’s decision to integrate Eclaps will enable it to further enhance its capacity for development and innovation in the field and, in doing so, meet the increasing demand amongst its major clients for this type of project. At present, the group already assists a number of prestigious customers such as Casino (iPhone application m-Casino), Groupama (Interactive Visual Callback Response System), Lafuma (digital product catalogue for stores on iPad) and Spir Communication (iPad application for its mobile sales force) with the development of their mobile communications strategy.
The founders of Eclaps will play a close part in the success of this joint project and continue to actively participate in the development of the activity.
“This operation is an excellent opportunity for SQLI and is part of a win-win agreement. Backed by a group of our stature, the Eclaps team will have greater access to the budgets they need and to large-scale projects. SQLI was very quick to position itself on the mobile solutions market and is currently reaping the fruits. Expanding our resources was the next logical step and we are delighted to welcome on-board a team of highly-motivated experts who will contribute to our growth in the field”, said Julien Mériaudeau, Chief Executive Officer of SQLI.
SQLI will publish its 2011 turnover on 16 February 2012 after the close of trading.
