EoZen has assisted the French Institut de RadioProtection et de Sûreté Nucléaire in the deployment of the SAP NetWeaver software package and the development of its HR gateway.

Objectives: develop new HR services and harmonise the IT system architecture

The IRSN has a management system based on the public sector version of the SAP R/3 software package. However, when the HR intranet was installed, .NET technology via SAP .Net connector was chosen and the SAP version in use at the time did not allow web services to be provided easily to employees. In 2006, the IRSN contacted EoZen, the SQLI SAP centre, to harmonise its operating system and to allow it to benefit from the new functions available from SAP.

 

Our assistance: deployment and rationalisation of technologies based on SAP Net Weaver

In 2007, the IRSN adopted SAP ECC6.0. Following this change, three stages were planned:

  • installation of a new landscape for the functional and technical systems in order to use the standard transactions available in SAP
  • rationalisation of SAP NetWeaver technologies
  • new business projects launches and integration

Results: installation of an HR gateway based on SAP NetWeaver

By changing to SAP ECC6.0, the IRSN was able to enrich its HR gateway with new functionalities. The gateway was personalised in order to satisfy the intranet's graphic identity and provide the option of integrating it in the IT system as SSO.

It also allows users to access simple web transaction such as requests for information, enter expenses claims, reserve time off, enter their business activity...
Other business projects were also installed: contact and event management with SAP CRM, budget monitoring tools, purchasing management...
