The web workstation, a book written by Arnaud Deslandes, Jean-Claude Grosjean, Médéric Morel and Guillaume Plouin
Appeared from the 2000’s, the first portal generation didn’t fulfill all his promises. However, the situation has changed a lot during the past few years: new technical plateforms, easier and achieved such as Microsoft Sharepoint and Liferay have come and the level of maturity of the Information System has increased considerably.
This book deals with workstation concept, work situation or interactive activity and practical aspects of implementations thanks to experiences and advices. It also approaches technical and ergonomic questions which are unavoidable for a portal implementation.
Co-written by Arnaud Deslandes, Jean-Claude Grosjean, Médéric Morel and Guillaume Plouin, this book helps understanding what will be the future workstations interfaces for users and “new generation” portals.
The book turns on 5 independents parts:
«This book is also dedicated to software developers and architects who will find recommendations from a lot of passed experiences, IT contracting entities who need to be familiar with concepts, specificities and vocabulary from this type of project, and again decision maker who want to know the main stakes of a company portal complementation» specifies Médéric Morel, Sqli Consulting.Manager.
