After answering to an invitation to tender from the French National Ministry of Education, Alcyonix – SQLI Group – and Spirula won a 3 years mission of support on CMMI.

Alcyonix and Spirula : two CMMI experts gathered together for a ministry strategic project

In order to federate teams and partners around a Quality frame of reference and best practices in project management, the Ministry Agency chose to rely on Alcyonix – SQLI Group and the Advice Agency Spirula valuation.
During three years, the project deals with leaning Ministry project team for CMMI practices implementation, at the academic and central level on the national territory (all the academies are not be part of the project perimeter, the only ones concerned are the ones with national teams).

The CMMI (Capability Maturity Model Integration) mastery by SQLI comes on one hand from a successful implementation of the model inside the group since 2002:
First European SSII to reach the third CMMI level*, the Sqli group actually spreads out this practice for 4 and 5 level for all of its agencies. These seven years experiences provide Sqli an accurate legitimacy and expertise for this model implementation.
On the second hand, with his entity Alcyonix, - official SEI partner since 1998 – SQLI offers the best complete CMMI offer on the market, including all improving cycle stage : awareness, training, diagnostic, strategic advice, support for implementation, evaluation, certification…

The expert team is made up of assess managers and CMMI instructors certified by SEI**, among them Richard Basque, author of several books about the model.***
For more than 10 years, Alcyonix trained more than 2500 people on 4 continents, supported 60 organizations in their increasing process and realized more than 80 official CMM and CMMI valuations.

This leading place, added to knowledge and understanding of ministry stakes, enabled Alcyonix to be selected by the French National Ministry of Education as part of his invitation tender.

Spirula, co author of CMMI model, is in charge of supporting companies to master their projects and Time-to-Market, inspired by CMMI expertise.
This company will lean the Ministry for 3 years in his increasing process, based on CMMI. Denise Cattan and Eric Bellet realized some diagnostics, trainings, and making people aware actions, before chairing working groups on the 2 level process definition.
On a scale of an organization like the French National Ministry of Education (30 academies, around 250 staff members in the first project implementation perimeter), a CMMI project first requires to take the human condition into account.

* SCAMPI A 3 level, get by Rabat SQLI agency in february 2006, SCAMPI B (no official) level 3 get by the other group agencies.
